Meaning Behind the MauryanHigh School Logo
The MauryanHigh logo takes its inspiration from the Mauryan era, a period that left a lasting mark on India's heritage. Its symbols echo that history, and each one carries a value we hope our students will grow into.
The Elephant: Patience and Strength
At the centre of the logo stands the silhouette of an elephant. In Indian tradition, the elephant represents patience, strength and intelligence. It moves steadily, remembers what it learns and uses its power with care.
The elephant's tusk carries a special meaning for us. It stands for uniqueness, and reflects our hope that every student will discover what makes them different and stand out with confidence.
The Two Lions: Courage and Strategy
Two lion heads flank the elephant on either side. The lions signify bravery and strength in strategy, the ability to think clearly before acting.
Together, they represent resilience and determination. We want our students to face challenges with courage, and to approach problems with a calm, well-planned mind rather than force alone.
The Rising Sun: New Beginnings
Behind the elephant and lions rises the sun. A rising sun marks the start of a new day and the promise of fresh opportunity.
For our students, it is a reminder that every day brings a chance to learn something new, try again after a setback and move a little closer to their goals.
The Chakra: Steady Growth
The chakra is one of India's most familiar symbols, and it also appears on our National Flag. Its turning wheel stands for continuous movement and growth.
In our logo, the chakra represents steady progress. Learning does not happen all at once. It grows day by day, through effort, curiosity and good habits.
What the logo means for our students
Taken together, the symbols in the MauryanHigh logo capture the spirit of "Innovation and Achievement." The elephant teaches patience, the lions bring courage, the rising sun offers fresh starts, and the chakra keeps learning moving forward.
